Diet Bite Life, operated by Q9 Labs, is an AI-assisted nutrition and wellness app. This policy explains what we process and the choices available to you.

Data we process

• Account data such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and sessions.
• Profile and wellness data such as age, gender, height, weight, goals, dietary preferences, allergies, activity, pregnancy-related preferences, and health focus.
• Nutrition and activity records such as meals, photos, barcodes, grocery lists, receipts, water, weight, exercise, plans, progress, and reminders.
• Health data you choose to connect through Apple Health or Health Connect, including authorized activity, nutrition, hydration, and weight records.
• AI interactions such as coach messages, meal images, generated plans, voice recordings or transcripts, feedback, and safety signals.
• Technical data needed to operate the app, including device type, push tokens, network status, diagnostics, and security or audit events.

How we use data

We use data to authenticate you, provide personalized plans and nutrition estimates, sync records you request, operate reminders, answer support requests, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve reliability. Health and wellness data is used only to provide and improve features for you. We do not sell personal data or use health data for advertising.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the app, including Convex for application data and authentication, Apple and Google for optional sign-in and health connections, OpenRouter and its selected model providers for AI processing, Deepgram for voice transcription, Resend for account email, and Expo Push Service for notification delivery. We send each provider only the data needed for the requested feature and require appropriate protection.

Your choices

You can decline camera, microphone, photos, notifications, Apple Health, or Health Connect access and continue using features that do not require that permission. You can disconnect health access in device settings. You can delete saved AI data separately or permanently delete your account from Settings → Account.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and app data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Completing account deletion removes your account and user-owned data from the active product database. We do not configure an additional active-data retention period after deletion. Residual encrypted copies may remain in service-provider backups until their normal backup cycle expires; they are isolated from active use and are not used to recreate your profile. Security and children

We use access controls, encrypted connections, and scoped authentication to protect data. No system is completely secure. Diet Bite Life is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
